Integration

The AccessPORT seamlessly integrates with your factory electronics to make a cohesive tuning solution. The AccessPORT changes specific table values in order to recalibrate sensors and optimize fuel, ignition and cam phasing to generate safe and reliable power gains. Stock logic is retained so that the ECU continues to operate as the manufacturer intended. This translates into impressive power gains with all of the intelligence, sophistication and protection that the manufacturer built into the system.

Interactive

The AccessPORT is the most user friendly and interactive ECU tuning solution available for your high performance import. Using the AccessPORT is incredibly simple. The vibrant full color screen, intelligent menu architecture and intuitive button interface work together to provide seamless navigation. It can easily be mounted to the dashboard for on-the-fly use and viewing.

Monitor Your Performance

Every AccessPORT has built in Performance Monitors. These are great for showing the performance of your vehicle in the current state of tune with the modifications you have installed as well as helping to quantify performance gains when you make additional modifications. These are also great tools to help you improve your skills at the drag strip. It's like printing off your own time slip any time you want!

Mapping

The AccessPORT is the device that enables recalibration of sensors and manipulation of data on the factory ECU. It provides the capability to reflash select segments of information that are stored in the computer that control engine function. These segments of data that are written to the ECU are collectively referred to as maps.

Mapping access

The AccessPORT can store up to 20 maps so you can be ready for any challenge. Use the Change Map function to browse the maps stored on your AccessPORT and select the map most appropriate for what you want to do. Purchase an Accessport from ALTA Performance and get any PERRIN Performance map for free for as long as you own the Accessport.

Data Logging

The AccessPORT functions as a hand-held data logging device. There is no need for a clunky PC to ride shotgun with you in the passenger seat. Just plug the AccessPORT into the OBD-II port, select Data Logging from the menu and choose which monitors you wish to data log. Choose as few or as many monitors as you like. Hit enter and data logging begins. Once the data gathering is complete, hit the enter button again. The data is stored as a data log file within the AccessPORT. The AccessPORT can store up to 10 individual data logs and the combined duration of data logs can be up to 10 hours.

Safety

Validating ECU data integrity is a critical component in maintaining a high degree of safety for internal engine components as well as personal safety. Consider the effects that corrupt data can have in drive-by-wire throttle control on a high horsepower car or the fueling tables in an expensive motor build and the implications are clear.AccessPORT tuned cars retain these important safety checks as deemed necessary by the manufacturer.

Upgradeable

The AccessPORT is fully upgradeable via an internet connection. The included AccessPORT Updater software automatically checks to make sure that the firmware on your AccessPORT is the most up to date version available. This ensures your AccessPORT has the latest and greatest functionality available for your vehicle model.

Uninstall

In the event that the car must be returned to the stock configuration, the AccessPORT can be completely removed and the ECU restored to its factory condition. Once the AccessPORT is uninstalled, it can be installed on a different vehicle of the same make/model/year. Since the AccessPORT can be uninstalled, combined with the ability to update the AccessPORT firmware via the internet, it retains a high resale value.

How To Datalog

A data log is just that, a log of data! The type of data being logged is parameters and information your ECU is using to control your engine. These are things like Engine RPM, Boost, Ignition Timing, Engine Load, and Air Fuel Ratio, all of which are logged many times per second and recorded based on time. Using the AccessPORT to collect this data allows us to make accurate changes to your maps that the ECU uses to control the engine.

Stage 1 MINI Cooper S

Here are some results comparing a stock MINI Cooper S with 92 octane (purple line) to the same car with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 1 tune (yellow line). These impressive gains are had by increasing boost and changing fueling & timing. These changes will not effect your gas mileage!

These results may vary, but this is realistically what you should find on your MINI Cooper S. Who wouldn't want 20 more HP and 40ft-lbs more torque while not effecting your gas mileage.

Here are some results comparing a stock MINI Cooper S with 92 octane (purple line) to the same car with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 2 tune (yellow line) and ALTA 3" Dual Cat Turboback Exhaust. The high flow exhaust allows the turbo to spool up quicker making more torque!

These results may vary, but this is realistically what you should find on your MINI Cooper S with an ALTA 3" Turboback exhaust installed. The additional 40 more HP and 50ft-lbs more torque is more than just noticable.

These results compare an ALTA Stage 1 MINI Cooper S with 92 octane (dark yellow line) to the same car with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 2 tune (yellow line) and ALTA 3" Dual Cat Turboback Exhaust. This clearly shows how much quicker the turbo spools with the 3" ALTA turboback.

Stage 1 MINI Cooper JCW

Here are some results comparing a stock MINI JCW with 92 octane (purple line) to the same car with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 1 tune (yellow line). 20 Peak Wheel Horsepower is impressive, but you will really feel the 40 Wheel HP and 50 ft-lbs of torque you gain lower in the RPM band!

These results may vary, but this is realistically what you should find on your MINI JCW. What we tune has no effect on gas mileage while cruising down the road.

Here are some results comparing a MINI JCW with only a turbo back exhaust installed running 92 octane (green line) to the same car but with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 2 tune (blue line). 25 Peak Wheel Horsepower is impressive, but where you really feel it is down low where you get 40 Wheel HP and 80 ft-lbs of torque!

These results may vary, but this is realistically what you should find on your MINI JCW. What we tune has no effect on gas mileage while cruising down the road.

Here is another dyno run showing a MINI JCW with ALTA 3" Turboback exhaust ALTA Boost tube and ALTA Larger Intercooler, running 92 octane (purple line) to the same car with an ALTA AccessPORT Stage 3 tune (red line). 40 peak Wheel Horsepower increase is impressive, but where you really feel it is down low where you get 60 Wheel HP and 100 ft-lbs of torque!

These results may vary, but this is realistically what you should find on your MINI JCW with our 3" Turboback exhaust, hot side boost tube and intercooler installed.
