All Stainless SteelALTA exhaust systems are made entirely of 304 stainless steel, inside and out. 304SS provides high corrosion resistance, and is excellent for extreme heat up to 1800 degrees. Other manufactures and OEMs, will use cheaper 409 stainless steel which will rust and corrode over time but the added expense of 304 stainless steel is well worth the beautiful and long lasting high polish, and durability. |

| Went to Prescott,AZ and back Memorial Day weekend with your 3" cat-back just installed. HP & Torque is just as you state with mpg@ 35.2 for the 800mi round trip, but I was running 80-85 most of the way. At 65, the computer showed 42-46mpg so I ain't complaining! IMO,the great thing is music. Coming down the Yarnell grade this morning using only the gearbox for braking, it let out the most awesome howl I've ever heard from a 4 banger!! Cooper S Catback TestThis test was done on our 07 MCS when it was in stock form. These tests prove that the ALTA 3" catback makes 10WHP and 10ft-lbs of TQ over the OEM part. With roughly 1 hour of install time, you can add some cool sounds and power to your MCS. |
