SILICONE INTAKE HOSES

Our 5ply Silicone Elbow is rated for 200psi, and 400 degrees.  Like other ALTA products this part is over built to ensure a life time of use.  This is one of the key features to our intake as the bend provides the proper MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor reading and ensures no Check Engine Lights.

ALUMINUM INTAKE BOX

The ALTA R56 air box was designed around light weight aluminum. This provides a stiff, strong, and corrosion proof shroud for the ALTA high flow foam filter. A black or red wrinkle finish powder coat is applied to keep things looking clean and finished for the life of the car. 

HIGH FLOW FOAM FILTER

Included with all ALTA intake is a high flow, reusable foam filter.  Our sleek black, 2 piece design makes for easy cleaning of your filter.  We have always trusted foam to provide our customers with the highest flow and best ability to keep dirt out of your engine!  Many ask us why not a "K&N Style" filter?? NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS

When dealing with MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensors, small changes to turbulence in the intake system, can make huge changes to how the car runs. Because we are familiar with this problem on other cars, great care was taken to eliminate any turbulence issues that might throw a CEL, or make the car run too lean or rich. We can say for a fact that our intake replicates the stock MAF curve almost perfectly! 

DYNO PROVEN HORSEPOWER

Here is one of many dyno sessions showing how much power can be gained by installing an ALTA intake.  This is our first test of our intake system showing 10WHP gains and 10 ft-lbs of torque gain.  This was done on a completley stock R56 with hood scoop removed (like its supposed to be).
