The factory has simply let us all down (or should I say UP) with the stock ride height of the R56 MINI. The way it should have been is about 1.5" lower! These are an excellent compliment to the R56! German made, lifetime warranty, easy to install. What more do you want?
This is an extremely nice upgrade to the car. Removes the excessive wheel gap and reduces the roll center. Improves steering response as well as the visual impact. Ride quality is improved over stock in most all situations.

Replace it with an ALTA Performance sway bar and we promise better cornering, reduced body roll and greater control over your suspension. ALTA PerformanceTM Sway Bars are bigger in diameter and come with multiple end-link attachments, giving you more possible configurations than any other swaybar.
An important step to making your car turn better comes from replacement of the rear sway bar. By increasing the diameter and leverage, more cornering force is applied to the outside wheels. Thus forcing the car to "turn-in" better. Additionally reducing sway also increases the contact patch of the rear tires.
The Alta PerformanceTM rear sway bar goes one step further than simply making the bar bigger. Although size is increased, Alta has added the flexibility of changing the bars leverage with 3 different end link attachment points. This allows the end user to custom tailor the way his or her car handles.
Every portion of your mini suspension is subjected to extreme load sunder hard cornering. One of the weakest parts on your stock suspension is the factory end links. These are solely responsible for taking the cornering load from the control arm and applying it to the anti-swaybar. The flimsy factory units prevent your sway bar from doing its job efficiently and smoothly.
We have solved this problem with our easy to install ALTAPerformanceTM upgraded end links. These are available for the front and rear of your mini.
Our links feature 6061 powder coated aluminum rods and aircraft quality Teflon lined spherical studded rod ends. These combine to form a fully adjustable, direct connection from sway bar to control arm. This stronger than stock rod allows for linear bar response not found on factory or other competitive versions.
What this means to you is tighter, more responsive handling. Instead of the factory link bending and twisting prior to applying cornering force, the force is immediately applied. Avid autocrossers and clubsport racers can also use the adjustable length to "pre-load" the front and rear sway bars for even stronger response.
